The location was a few minutes walk to Togakushi-Jinja, and 6 minutes from Togakushi Shrine Okusha (Main Shrine) The Great Torii Gate. Friendly staff with newly renovated property. The owner gave me an amazing recommendation to eat at the Nagano Forest Village.

Guesthouse Sapmi is a cozy lodge near Kurohime Kogen and a close drive to Myoko Kogen and Lake Nojiri. The rooms are comfortable and the shared kitchen has all your needs if you decide to cook. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful with local information. I look forward to staying there again!

Food!!!! I am very happy that I found this place. The rooms are somewhat basic but more than sufficient for a ski trip. It’s within walking distance of the slopes but still the hosts will drive you back and forth. The hosts are very hospitable and the lady speaks good English. My favorite part was the food, the breakfast was very diverse and the dinner was another level, some of the best meals I had in Japan. I think it’s a restaurant because one night people that didn’t stay at the lodge came to have dinner, but they don’t advertise. I highly recommend this place!

    Very nice home stay with the two hosts who speak english. House is beautiful and roomy, the hotel section is one section of their home but completely divided. House has very nice traditional styling Breakfast food and products were all nice local Nagano products They made us feel very special on our honeymoon even making us a special cake. The hosts are very helpful especially with the introduction around the house and room and special spa in the bathroom We would recommend anyone with a car to come stay and check out nagano.
