Let me start off by saying: this place is beautiful. It's got the sliding japanese doors, futons, lots of Ghibli stuff. It's in a cool, quiet neighbourhood, in close proximity to a shrine. The owner made me feel welcome & at home straight away which as an anxious solo traveler I can appreciate twice as much. The facilities are clean, the house smells of wood, there's a cute dog. The futon was so comfy I overslept. Simply one of the best stays I had in a long time.

Very spacious and clean. The property was very modern, warm inside, fast wifi throughout the building. One of the nicest hostels/guest houses we've stayed at in Japan. A comfortable place to base yourself for a few days if you are tired of the trains and city rush.

The mood was very warm, there was a temporary coffee shop open within the guest house during my stay, and the mix of clients from the coffee shop and the residents was totally fun. The house itself feels traditional in a good way.

The place was very clean and it was a convenient location. I was surprised that there were many English books available. The books really created an interesting atmosphere.
