The guest house was superb! The owners were super friendly and welcoming. The guest house and room and everything was super clean and comfortable. The room was massive! So good! They have private parking which is great too! The location is really good! You can walk to the gorge or drive (I'd recommend the free parking at the gorge). Honestly highly recommend it! And we're definitely coming back again ❤️

Probably the best stay I've had in Japan. The room was spacious with lovely view, very clean and comfortable. Great facilities as a guest house. Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was small but well-equipped with everything you need.

Great communication, and the owner was friendly and very accommodating. We had some questions about the check in time, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. The location is great, about a 15 minute walk to the Gorge, and about 5 minutes drive to the town and supermarkets. There is also an amazing restaurant right next door. The accomodation comes with a parking space which is very helpful. We got the whole place to ourselves, and it was very spacious. Our stay was during the winter, and the accomodation includes a heater and air conditioning which made our stay very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen is well equipped and has good hot water and pressure. It was a wonderful experience!

Charming location. Beautiful traditional Japanese house. We brought pot noodles as worried there would be nowhere to eat but didn't need to worry as helpful host gave us directions to an izikaya a couple of kilometres away. Good if you have a car but probably not ideal to walk at night as not much pavement or lighting. Wish we had a bit more time to enjoy setting.

The location is excellent, the room is very cozy and clean. All the equiptment in the house are very modern and the beds are very comfortable too. This hotel is the best one we like during our travelling time. By the way, I like to thank Mr. Yagawa's help. If without him, We couldn't solve our car accident smoothly on that night. He drove 50 mins to meet us, and spent couple hours to communicate and translation for us with the towing and insurance company. We are very appreciated with his enthusiasm and help.

I really enjoyed my stay, it was a completely different experience than other places I've stayed in Japan. The area has a slightly spooky, Alabama-esque feel. Maybe it was becouse of the goat outside my window, maybe the American-style buildings, or maybe, aside from meeting the lovely owners once at check-in, I didn't see a single person during my one-night stay. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked flawlessly (as did the Wi-Fi) a big plus for the fridge in the room (there are no shops at the area, I recommend buying some sandwiches etc earlier). It was the cheapest option I could find in the area, a bit pricey for the standard, but considering the spooky vibe (which I liked), I can't really complain. My destination was the Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, and it was a 30-minute walk. It's about an hour's walk from the train station. It's also a 15-minute walk from the coolest old-school samurai-style restaurant I've ever been to.

A perfect stay. Everything about the place is wonderful, especially the owner who is a truly lovely kind-hearted soul; you can tell that she has filled the place with love and care. I would love to return some day, two nights was not nearly long enough...

We were slightly sceptical about this place as it only had two reviews, but we are so glad we booked. This was a great guesthouse with traditional Japanese rooms in a gorgeous village. The host was incredibly helpful (even walking us to a local restaurant to make sure we got a space as everywhere was fully booked). We felt incredibly welcome, had comfy beds, a lovely room, and everything we needed.

We arrived quite late and Shinya was so kind to wait for us & greet us during our arrival and gave us a box of his mom homemade chiffon cake. The instruction given in the message was clear and easy for check in. The kitchen cottage was the best place for our chit chat session during our stay. He came by during our check out and was very helpful to provide us the information of the places to visit. Highly recommended & Thanks Shinya

We really enjoyed staying here. Its simple accomodation but comfortable. If the host wants to send you to his favorite restaurant, go for it. Its an experience. The area is beautiful. And while you are here, go for lunch at Leek. A bot to miss mom and pop place.
