Smey is a knowledgeable friendly helpful owner who effortly organised trips to sights and a day hike for us, plus onward travel. The food is great and freshly prepared with good variety for evening meals. The garden surrounds are lovely. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the homestay to everyone who seeks a more authentic place than a standard hotel.

Ratanakiri Homestay is a really beautiful family-owned business that has some great private bungalows and from where you begin your jungle trekking adventure. The family were the sweetest, friendliest and warm people I've met from other places I stayed in Cambodia. We shared a Christmas dinner together, which was really lovely. The room was comfortable and had a mosquito net. There was wifi, which helped plan my trip for after the trek. There was also a shop nearby, where you can buy snacks and drinks. Highly recommend staying here as you will enjoy every moment.

The owners are amazing. Made sure to take care of every detail. Great food, amazing social atmosphere, so helpful with buses and organising treks. Crazy affordable and with service that beats any 5 star hotel I've stayed in. It was simply a joy to stay there.
