Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. The family went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. Helped me with train ticket, gave me a lift to where I wanted to go, and served delicious food. The house is completely new, in a quiet location and from the roof you can see some of the temples of the sacred city. Lovely spacious rooms. I would love to come back.

We were truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the property owner. His efforts in arranging our Wilpattu Safari and city tour guide made our stay even more memorable. ThilakaRatne & his wife Kanchana are really hardworking & amazing hosts. The property itself is amidst the Paddy fields on one side & the jungle to the other side, which makes an ideal place to stay if you love nature. Thilakaratne has his own farm & he lays all those fresh produces on your table everyday. The Food they served were all very delocious & they were also very reasonably priced. I also took the tuktuk services, where he himself drove me around the Anuradhapura city ruins,concluding in Mihintale. If you are in Anuradhapura, I definitely recommend this place

Of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this is the one that stays with us. The knowledge, helpfulness and generosity of spirit of the family running the place made it exceptional. We felt very much at home and learned at lot about Sri Lankan society. The travel advice and conscientious vetting of tuktuk-drivers and guides recommended to us was valuable and another examle of the ambition of the host family to give the guests the best possible experience. The food was great. So was the location in a quiet neighbourhood within easy walking distance to the lake and the city. We also enjoyed lots of laughs and were impressed with the hostess teaching students in the yard some afternoons. Brilliant place!

We had a fantastic one-night stay at Pearl House Resort. The location is excellent—very close to the main city and attractions. The rooms were spotless, with great air conditioning and hot water available. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always available when we needed assistance. Our booking was for two rooms, but they were not adjacent. The hosts went above and beyond by offering us a bigger room for the same price, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!
