The hosts, Clive & Chryshantie, quickly felt like a mom and dad. They were beyond caretaking and amazing. We had the best food ever, for both breakfast and dinner.They gave us gifts, memories for life and helped us with our next booking and made sure we arrived safely. We felt so safe, like home.❤️ The guest house itself had everything we needed and we felt sad to leave after 2 nights. They both are so knowledgeable about many different topics and felt like we could talk for ages and just want more.

Mahamed and Fatima are the most wonderful hosts, and there is no doubt they enjoy having guests, and want their guests to be as comfortable as possible. They made our stay truly memorable, and I wish we had time to stay longer. I will for sure be back, this place comes highly recommended from me! Surroundings are gorgeous, hiking on every corner, it's quiet and calm, and you will eat like a queen with Fatima's food (she should have a restaurant). I haven't eaten that well in all of Sri Lanka, and it's been my most pleasant stay. If you are into nature, mental relaxation, great food, and slowing down a bit, do make sure to book at least two/three nights with them, and just enjoy!

We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Staying at Sana’s Homestay was a really lovely part of our time in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding—Sana and his family were so kind and thoughtful. His mother is an amazing cook, and her tea quickly became our favorite! The room was perfect for us: clean, cozy, with a private bathroom and its own entrance, which made it feel like our own little retreat. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the misty hills of Haputale was unforgettable. Few things to note: • The road to the homestay isn’t well marked on Google Maps, so it’s best to contact as you get close—the host is super helpful and will make sure you find it without any trouble. • There is parking if you have a tuktuk or bike • There are a few up steps to get to the property. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and genuine experience in the hill country, this is the place!

A really lovely location. The room was great, it had everything you'd need. There was a games room in the loft conversion with a pool table which was fun. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful in arranging tours and transport. Also amazing food! Highly recommend!
