The place is wonderful, the room comes with all the comfort needed - but we are mostly grateful to have met the hosts, an amazing and caring couple always open to help and give great insights about places to visit or Sri Lank itself. They cook, and it simply was the best food ever had.

Mahamed and Fatima are the most wonderful hosts, and there is no doubt they enjoy having guests, and want their guests to be as comfortable as possible. They made our stay truly memorable, and I wish we had time to stay longer. I will for sure be back, this place comes highly recommended from me! Surroundings are gorgeous, hiking on every corner, it's quiet and calm, and you will eat like a queen with Fatima's food (she should have a restaurant). I haven't eaten that well in all of Sri Lanka, and it's been my most pleasant stay. If you are into nature, mental relaxation, great food, and slowing down a bit, do make sure to book at least two/three nights with them, and just enjoy!

Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the place. The view is fantastic, good coffee, room service, fun manager:)) just keep in mind it’s in the mountains so the weather can get chilly and rainy.

We came as strangers and left as friends! Saman and his wife Madushi and his brother Shan together with their mum are incredible hosts! They are so friendly and helpful and gave us many tips for the area. The guesthouse was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful view from the cozy and bright room. Food was always very delicious. The area is very calm, you can see sunrise and sunset from the tea plantation just 5 minutes from the guesthouse. We've planned to stay two nights but because it was so nice there we changed our plans and stayed longer. We also visited the local Sunday market to buy fresh vegetables and made a fabulous cooking course and learned how to cook traditional currys. We highly recommend to go there and experience unforgettable days in the middle of tea plantations. Thank you Saman, Shan and Family for the last days - We enjoyed every moment at your wonderful place. We will come back one day :-)

- The host was very nice, professional and super helpful. He offered a tuktuk tour of tea plantations ti us, but he didn’t push us into ordering services through him and clearly told us that the best option for our further travels is a bus as a car would be too expensive. He waited for us as we arrived to check in after 9pm. - The room was big, well-maintained, modern, nicely decorated and very clean. We also had a nice balcony with an amazing view! - The bathroom was clean, with hot water and a good water pressure. - The breakfast was great! It consisted of an omelette, toasts, fruits, jam, butter and tea/coffee. Everything was well prepared and delicious! - The price is beyond our understanding. It was such a great value for money! We truly recommend this accommodation to everyone!

We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. If you come here don't expect any luxury hotel, but a true authentic local experience. We had an incredible human connection with Sana and his lovely mum, who started calling us son and daughter. We really felt like home even cooking the best rice and curry with our new amma 🫶 We almost left crying, but we are sure that we have a family in Sri Lanka that will always welcome us back. They have only one room for the guest that is directly connected to their home, no fan and no a/c but you don't need in Haputale, cause it gets chilly during the nights. The narrow road to the house is quite steep, only for tuktuk, and while we were there was under construction, so it will get way better soon! Don't come here with expectations, but with an open hearth.

Value for money. Nice room with views, good walking possibilities in the surrounding. Beautiful surrounding, good breakfast, very nice hosts, waterboiler and tea and sucker in the room, hot shower. Go with the local bus (behind the main road) to Lipton tea factories. Beautiful views, a lot of tea plants. The factory is oke to visit. Nice to go up from there to ‘Lipton seat’. With sunrise it is often a great view. We saw only mist. But still we enjoyed the ‘outing’ a lot. We liked also the balconies and nice chairs to sit everywhere. 1 km from town. We walked.
