Wonderful homestay for anyone hiking the Pekoe. Stayed for one night before walking stage 2 in reverse. Nalinda helped us figure out the right bus from Kandy and organised a lift to the start for us. Provided a delicious dinner and breakfast aswell. Had a lovely stay.

Extremely lovely and accomodating hosts. Comfortable beds with clean linen, towels. Soaps provided. Kitchen available for making tea (tea, coffee available), salad. Guests should carry milk if needed. The host made us bed tea early in the morning and a scrumptious veg delicious breakfast. Would love to stay again..

Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

Nimesh was an excellent host. The house is incredibly beautiful and the room was very clean. Specially recommended if you want to be near Kandy but also in the middle of the forest.

If it were possible I would rate this hotel 11! Very nicely decorated, extremely clean, with everything you need. Staff exceptionally cordial and helpful, they provided advice and fulfilled every wish. Delicious breakfast! I definitely recommend it!
