It was our second stay in this place, we really enjoyed our previous stay 3 years ago. Beautifully located guesthouse surrounded by rice fields. Very local vibes. You can get easy to the Katharagama temples and Yala National Park. Owners can arrange everything that you need. At the place you can buy local cinnamon etc. Highly recommend 👌

Nice big room in great locality. The best was eating dinner/breakfest in a little tree house with the view at lake and birds. Host managed tour to Minneriya NP and was really caring and kind. :)

We were really happy we chose this place for our 3-night stay at Tissa. I will not write much about the place, the room and the facilities provided and the quality of services provided by the host; they are all better described by other guests and they are all true. I will - above all - point out the amazing care dedicated by the host and his wife in order to serve us the best quality of ingredients and prepared the finest dishes of Sri Lankan cuisine! That was the only place of all Sri Lanka over a 3+ week period where we had the chance (and the luck) to taste authentic local food - and it was amazing! Don't miss this opportunity and book your dinner (half-board) with them... you won't regret it!

Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%

Super clean, good wifi, good breakfast, strong airco, nice owner. Definitely deserve a 10!!!! The owner arranged a tuktuk to pick us up from the bus and they brought us to the busstation when we left. It's located a bit outside the city center but that's no problem. The house is close to a lake, go there for a view and finding animals. We arranged a safari to yala with them and this was very good, saw a lot of animals including a leopard.
