I have stayed at 100s of places all over the world but this was by far the best of the them, I cannot say enough good things about Grant's accommodation. First of all when we arrived we were very quickly greeted by Grant the owner, he was warm and welcoming and was quick to show us the phenomenal view he had across the ocean. Then he showed us our room, which had everything we needed, a kitchenette, a bathroom, very comfy, big bed and a lovely table and chairs looking out towards the bay. At sunset Grant then took us out on the roof to see the 360 views, we were blown away by not only the beautiful scenery but by the impressive story Grant told us of how he built the place himself. I will definitely be back and if you are thinking of staying here DO NOT hesitate I promise you will not regret it, it a heaven in Tutakaka. See you next time Grant and thank you again you legend :)

Was like being in a small piece of paradise. Nature all around, was lovely waking to the birds and the gorgeous fury host the chocolate lab :)

Lovely helpful homestay host, great location across from the beach. The local Salt Air Cafe is perfect for breakfast and lunch. The surrounding area and little bays are stunning. Clean, stylish comfy rooms with own kitchen and bathroom. We managed to have a swim and a kayak just across the road. Wished we had the time to have stayed longer.

Great place to relax if you like peace and quiet set in exceptionally lovely gardens against a backdrop of native bush. Zero traffic noise truly is a country home yet only minutes to town and close to golf course. Our huge ensuite room opened onto veranda, kitchen was at our disposal plus coffee making in room. Host so welcoming and discreet available if needed. Lounge lovely and warm with fire going in huge living room. What a treat. Thank you Nancy.

Great and welcoming host. Her house was extremely nice and clean, so clean that you could potentially hurt yourself on the sliding windows (but this won't happen, she did put stuff to prevent it). Nice private access to the beach (even though you need to walk a lot in order to have decent water depth.

Absolutely loved the stunning view. The tiny home was incredibly cozy and kept heat in which - for such a cold and wet trip - was a must for us haha. The couple that own it were incredibly friendly and I really appreciated them greeting us. Was lovely to say hello. They were also super helpful.

Very nice house. Our room was large and comfortable. The shared living room and kitchen were well equipped. We appreciated the washer and clothesline! The host was very nice, too.
