Erin, the host was wonderful! She speaks English very well which was a huge help to me. Erin met me at the ferry even though this was sort of a last minute booking. She arranged a good quality scooter for me, showed me how to operate it, made sure I could handle it ok, and off we went to the guesthouse. Having a scooter is the best and most convenient way to get around the island. Erin quickly responded to all my messages and gave me great suggestions for meals and places to see. The property is conveniently located right behind the main strip where there are restaurants and shops. The room was very clean and with very good air conditioning. I was so happy with Green Island and Erin’s place, that I extended my stay an additional night.

From the moment we arrived, our host, 湘湘, was super friendly and checked us in right away even though I had booked the room last minute! They gave us a detailed overview of the island and we even had the option to include different experiences (scuba diving, hot springs, hiking tours, etc.) which we ended up doing. The rooms were extremely spacious, clean, and modern which made the stay very luxurious. The breakfast was delicious and it was very relaxing to be so close to the sea. I cannot emphasize 湘湘's hospitality and friendliness to us, it elevated the experience and made it the best booking experience in Taiwan yet. Having some Chinese speaking skills definitely helps but is not needed! Definitely would recommend you to have a stay here and support this business.

A huge thank you to Summer for helping us arrange the return ferry to Green Island and communicating with us in English. We also took advantage of the help arranging a scooter and a snorkeling trip. Hsiang is a cheerful and hardworking colleague alongside Summer - we appreciated the pickup and return to the ferry dock. Breakfast was tasty and filling.
