The manager is an absolute legend, he is so helpful! really, he takes care of you as if you were his closest friend. Of course, this is a place where you stay when on budget, but for the price it has everything you need! a comfortable bed, good breakfast, hot shower. Only thing - the wifi does not reach to all the rooms - that could be an issue if you don't have a local sim. Upstairs is an amazing place to chill or to get some work done. The beach is literally 10m away from the property. I was here off season so the place was quiet, but during the high season you will have an amazing time for sure. If you want to get a local experience, make sure you reach out to the manager as he is really one of the greatest guys I've met on this amazing island.

We were thoroughly impressed. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities including a TV. The hotel staff were truly awesome - they were welcoming, friendly and always ready to assist with any request or inquiry. The location of the hotel is perfect, with stunning views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. The hotel's facilities and services were top-notch, with a fantastic restaurant serving delicious meals and offered a great selection of soft drinks and fresh juices. One of the highlights of my stay was the fantastic service provided by the hotel staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and their friendly and attentive approach really made me feel at home. Overall, I highly recommend the Isla Bonita hotel for anyone visiting Matemwe, Zanzibar. The combination of clean and comfortable rooms, stunning location, delicious food, and outstanding service makes it a top choice for accommodation on the island.

This was the most special and beautiful place I stayed in Zanzibar. This is not a standard Hotel or even backpackers usual place. Carol or Bibi Mrembo as the locals call her opens the doors of her house for you and with her kindness and welcoming vibe makes the stay and moments with her to be so special. Loved my time here and the time I spent with her discovering the surroundings, snorkeling and having lunch together. Definitely, my place in Zanzibar. Long life Carol and keep vibing as you do. Fantastic place, friendly and helpfull staff, nice local interiors, good food. Beach, pool and bar within 15m distance. Highly reccomended, especially when travelling in groups - large familly, friends. We booked a room with a breakfest and dinner option, for lunch and drinks we eat at the beach restaurants - IMO best option.
