The cottage is lovely and cosy, equipped with a fireplace, beautifully decorated bedrooms, a charming bathroom with an outdoor shower that makes you feel like being in your own private little jungle. The hosts were super kind and helped us a lot with recommendations around hikes in the Drakensberg mountains or good places for eating out. And not to forget the freshly baked muffins with butter and jam that awaited us every morning. Would always come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the Green Lantern in Howick. Danny is a super lovely and attentive host who lives next door. The cottage was very cozy, clean, spacious, and well-equipped. There's also a washing machine if you need to do your laundry. It has its own terrace/garden where you can enjoy the sun, have breakfast or a braai. The location is also great, a grocery store is just around the corner and Howick Falls and the Nelson Mandela Capture Site are just a short drive away. We highly recommend staying here!

    Judy was a lovely host, and the accommodation she offers is extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed, and ticks all the boxes required for a short stay. I stayed for 5 days while visiting my mother at the Ambers Care Center,and it would definitely be my go-to place should I need accommodation in Howick again. I had my main meal at lunchtime, so fortunately I didn't need to prepare much in the evening, but a welcome addition for me personally would've been a coffee plunger, otherwise everything else was perfect. Thank you Judy
