The accomodation is located a bit remote from Port St. Johns at Agata Terrace. We had a spectacellous view to the sea, the river mouth and the lighthouse from our terrace. We got an accomodation with 2 sleeping rooms, a living room, a kitchen, bath and seperate WC. And a big freeze. First accomodation in SA with fresh and clean water. Pieter is a nice and welcoming person working hard to develop the estate. He is organising fishing trips with his boat and fishing in this unexplored aera is extremely good. Louis is a warm, open, and caring host. He guided us via WhatsApp from Lusikisiki to the accommodation, which gave us a real sense of safety while driving on unpaved roads in the dark. He even brought us groceries from town and was always helpful. The accommodation is a small camp with two cozy bungalows, which he runs together with his mother, three friendly dogs, and a cat. The facilities are excellent—everything was clean and well-maintained. One of the highlights is the wide, beautiful view over the mountains all the way to the sea. A walk of about 25 minutes through the village leads to a picturesque waterfall. You get a truly authentic feeling of life in a South African village, far away from mass tourism. The villagers were very friendly and curious. Louis knows the entire village well and helps out with small agricultural jobs in the community. For us, the stay was an absolute highlight. We would return anytime and can highly recommend it to everyone.
