Extremely friendly and welcoming check in. Marlize has been just amazing, she was so friendly and everything was thought in to detail, in our to make our stay as cosy as possible.

It is an amazing place we want to come back to. We were delighted during our stay for several reasons. Firstly, our room was beautifully decorated. Every small detail, including the scent, was carefully considered. For instance, there is a comfortable bathtub with a bathtub tray and candles; the sink is decorated with the image of a hippo. There are gels, shampoos, body lotions, cotton swabs, and pads near the sink – all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, and I must say we are quite particular about it. There is a TV in the room – although we didn't watch it, we enjoyed listening to the radio with local and classical music. Additionally, we were provided with tea, coffee, and small snacks in the room. Secondly, the owner of the place, Adrian, helped us plan and organize our stay in St. Lucia. Thanks to him, we had the best experience during our entire journey in South Africa. We had a boat tour to see hippos. Importantly, we were on a boat with only a few tourists and a knowledgeable guide, while other ships were crowded with people. Our guide showed us some additional sights. The next day, we went ocean fishing, and there were only five of us on the boat. We were very lucky, and for 3.5 hours, we enjoyed whale watching. Now, we have hundreds of pictures and videos of whales, and I even caught a big tuna! Adrian joined us to ensure the fish was properly cooked in the restaurant. It was a delicious and unique experience; we had never eaten such fresh tuna. Adrian also provided suggestions about restaurants, local markets, and other excursions. We truly appreciated the way he and Marie treated us. Thirdly, the breakfasts were superb. In the evening, guests can come to the hall, have a drink, and listen to music. There were books and photo albums available. For those interested, there is a small pool. We didn't swim but enjoyed its illumination in the evenings. We highly recommend booking this place.

Spacious, well decorated and functional. Photos don’t show how nice this place is and we were positively surprised. Staff very friendly and understanding. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Very nice, clean and quiet little lodge

Lake St. Lucia Lodge is in the city center in the middle of a beautiful garden with mango and lichi trees. It provides everything you need in St Lucia and Andre, the owner is a very kind and helpful host who helps you to find the best program in the area.
