She’s also the cook and we would slurp up everything she prepares. The calm and serene vibe this accommodation gives makes one wants to stay longer :) our first day we did a night walk of Simatai section Great Wall that included the cable car (expensive! But enjoyable)… second day we hiked up the wild Great Wall. I felt this pace was slow and lovely for my younger children.

A great place to stay to visit the great wall and experience a peaceful Chinese village. The entrance to the great wall is just a short walk. This section of the great wall is so quiet that we have the whole place to ourselves. It is also not very restored so you get to see some of the original wall. They also cooked fresh food from their garden for us. I have been to Beijing twice and did all the major tourist spots. I have to say staying here and hiking the wall in peace is my best Beijing experience.

The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Had a lovely 2 night stay here. The room was so spacious with nice decor. We had 2 big suitcases and there was still lots of room. The bed was a nice size and comfortable (we had a great sleep each night). Though the hotel is in a great location (only a 5 min walk to the metro), it's in a quiet location with no street noise. All the staff were so lovely, especially the lady at check-in and check-out. It was especially nice to have a delicious coffee in the cute downstairs café each morning. All in all, a fantastic stay - I would highly recommend!

View from the room was awesome and the corgis very cute.
