We really enjoyed the setting of our room in the jungle where the rustic outdoor kitchen connect us to the nature . The bedroom and bath look out to the forest. The shower with 3 different heads was great. The place was built 6 years ago by European couple, Cat from France and Phil from Germany. The decoration of the lodge was very relaxing and comfortable. The swimming pool was a great escape for the hot humid weather. We also enjoyed meeting a white nosed coati, a vulture and a group of squirrel monkeys in the backyard. We woke up by all kind of sounds from animal kingdom ..... We appreciate that the hosting couple went out their way to welcome us with good fruits and assisted us.

There is also an amazing pizza restaurant on the property. Pizzas were delicious. The breakfasts in the morning were a real bonus and the attention to detail was so sweet. It is close to attractions and down town. Highly recommend!

Mi casa es tu casa❤️ Jorge is a very friendly host who loves to see when guests feel comfortable. Every morning there was coffee and fresh fruit in the kitchen with a nice smile on his face! Our room was next to the kitchen and the kitchen was our favorite place. It was very clean and open and we liked to cook there together with other guests from all over the world. As the place is quiet remote our host helped us to rent a scooter - turned out to be a perfect way of transportation! Jorge even offered us a lift when we took an early bus. We got up each day to see the birds and animals around us, would spend the day out in Montezuma or nearby doing activities, hiking, swimming, then end the day in the perfect pool, sometimes serenaded by howler monkeys. We're hoping to come back!

Casa colores was a DELIGHTFUL place to stay. The little houses are perfect for solo travelers and equally would have been great as a couple or family. Loved lazing around in the hammock, listening to the birds. The property grounds were beautiful - its a paradise. Mercedes was wonderful and as a solo traveller, she answered my Qs kindly about the area and made sure I was comfortable. The pool is a real treat on hot days too!
