Rio Dulce
Hostal Blood Moon is situated in Rio Dulce and has a plunge pool and pool views. This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, full-day security and organising tours for guests. we liked the location a lot - close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away from the crazy traffic on the main street. the staff there is very friendly and helpful - we were able to book our boat ticket there for the same price as at the dock. the lady also called as us a tuktuk to get to the dock in the morning. very recommandable!
Lívingston
Casa Manatí provides accommodation in Lívingston. It is situated a few steps from Ribera Rio Dulce Beach and offers a shared kitchen. The guest house features mountain views, a picnic area, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.
Lovely hostel right on the river, with hammocks and good food. Very relaxing stay.
Angela was a great host, helped book/arrange things. Room good size. Fantastic wooden walkway along the river flora. Good free kayaks
Homestay ran by a sweet family. Woke up to pancakes and coffee. Facilities are comfortable and clean. Great location, bank to change money is around the corner and 10 minute walk to ferry to Livingston. Owner can book your ferry ticket and is kind and helpful. Would stay here again, great value for your money.
The family is amazing. They are all so kind and warmhearted, especially Martha is the good soul of this place. Food tastes outstanding, reasonably priced. You can rent Kayaks and they offer you a boat shuttle service to/from Rio Dulce and Livingston. Felt more like a homestay than a hotel.
Marta and family run an awesome hotel. The make every effort to make you feel welcome and your stay as wonderful and possible! It gives a fairly unique home stay feel which we really loved. We stayed in a simple but comfortable and clean bungalow. There is a great eating area and place to relax at the river. The food was all delicious! We rented kayaks and had a beautiful paddle into one of the tributaries and then finished off swimming in the natural hot spring a short paddle from Casa Maya.
Beautiful homestay, run by a lovely family. Well- equipped kitchen, water, coffee and pancakes for free. Little pool to cool down. Hammocks, a terrace- great value for little money. Bring enough Moskito- repellant 😉
- Good hostel to stay for a night. Small, simple rooms. The beds didn't quite fit in there, not a lot of moving space - You could use the kitchen to make dinner - There is a small pool - Friendly owner
