Sisingamangaraja XII International Airport is 130 km from the property. This was for sure the best place I stayed in tuk tuk! The hosts were definitely the best part, so kind and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I had a fan, toilet paper, towel, free water refills and hot water in the shower which is rare here! It is in a quieter area but not far from delicious food. There is no direct lake access but you can access the lake from any restaurant if you order some food and ask permission :)

I loved staying at Maruba Inn! The property is clean and if you are lucky enough to book a lake view room you are in for a treat with a stunning view across Lake Toba. The beds are big and comfortable and the bathroom is large and has good pressured hot water. The staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and make the most of my stay. The restaurant serves delicious food, also with a great view across the lake. Every room includes a balcony with lake views. Everything was excellent! Best thing about this hotel are the views. Once you open the door of your room, you’re greeted by an impressive view of Lake Toba. It appears to be a new hotel, so the room and furnishings were new and clean. Location was fantastic as well. The hotel is right next to the water, so the ferry from Parapat can drop you off right at the hotel pier and pick you up from the same place. There are great restaurants nearby. I strongly recommend Coffee 2 Go across the street for breakfast and coffee, and Rosalie’s Beer Garden and Restaurant a 5-min walk away for lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly and helpful, though not all of them speak English.
