Rantepao
Situated in Rantepao in the South Sulawesi region, THE SINGKI HOME FAMILY has a balcony. This homestay features a garden. Rooms include a terrace with mountain views and free WiFi. The location is perfect, you can visit the city center by foot. The place is beautifull, i loved spending the end of my days just reading in the balcony watching over the rice field. The beds are confortable and clean. The breakfast is super tasty. But the best part of our stay were Imanuel and Kevin, father and son, and our hosts in their homestay. They will always give their best smile and effort to help you around, and they have such a big heart! I compleatly adore them both. Imanuel took us over some places to visit like graveyards, ricefields, and funeral ceremonys, always giving us the best explanations of the traditions and advise on how to behave and dress for the ceremonys. The two of them made our stay so very special and authentic. I will never forget this amazing days in toraja.

Rantepao
Ne Pakku Manja Family Home has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Rantepao. This homestay features a garden. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Meyske, our host was very warm and welcoming. In a short time me and my girlfriend got to know her quite well because she is very open. We even, quite literally, were taken into her family as we had the honor of joining her family to a ceremony as guests. Learning about the area and its culture and traditions, it was really nice staying with Meyske as she explains very well and shows you the amazing sites. I would highly recommend Meyske as guide as she also makes you feel very comfortable, also while visiting ceremonies which can sometimes be intense. Besides the amazing energy and atmosphere, Meyske and her mother also prepared delicious breakfast and dinner every day. It was a very natural and local-like experience staying with Meyske and her mother. Memories we will never forget.

We came as strangers and it felt like we left as a part of the family!

Situated in Rantepao, Angel's Homestay Batutumonga offers a garden and terrace. The property has garden and city views. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. We spent two nights with Angel and his family. They were perfect guides. Rantepao
Toraja Sanggalangi Homestay is a recently renovated homestay in Rantepao, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. This homestay features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. Starting from the communication prior to arrival, all the way throughout the whole trip the hosts were amazing. The level of hospitality and care far exceeded my expectations. I was driven to the pharmacy to get medication when I was ill, I needed to rest in my room, so the hostess offered me lunch and checked in on me and when the car broke down on the way to a hike they were so apologetic and mortified about disappointing us, rather than thinking of their primary method of translation being broken that it completely melted our hearts. They of course immediately organised alternative transport. Genuine humanity and real Indonesian hospitality at its best. The facilities were lovely. The room was very spacious, ensuite bathroom, hot shower at a very reasonable price The internet even worked in my room, as I was downstairs next to the common area which it primarily covers. The food was also amazing quality, healthy and home cooked. The host, Peso, is a certified guide, clearly well known in the community, which made finding and attending funeral ceremonies comfortable without feeling like an intruder. The 3 day programme he offered covered all points of interest in the area, he also offered in depth and nuanced explanations on the local culture and took me to some places where tourists don't usually go. The scooter he used to take me around was large, new and comfortable, too. Highly recommended!

Great homestay, big beds, hot shower with good pressure and a shared bathroom that's always clean. Breakfast is one of the best I've had in whole Indonesia. Above all, Ibra is a lovely host and would do anything to help you or make your day better, give you recommendations, his contacts. The funeral ceremony tour with him was also an amazing experience. Absolutely recommended!
The homestay is very comfortable and a nice place to meet other people in a unique location. In addition, it is the perfect place to be shown around the culture and life of the people in Tana Toraja by the hostess and guide Meyske.
Manaek is a lovely sweet woman who seems to run the place. She prepares breakfast and dinner for the guests and she always smiles. The people are always willing to help you, with transportation or tours etc. The homestay is next to beautiful traditional houses and located in between the rice fields with beautiful views. It is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful stay in nature, compared to the noisy city centre of Rantepao.
Beautiful homestay. Staff is very helpful and arranged airport pick up, reservation for bus to Rantepao ( Tana Toraja) and transfer to the bus station. For 50 k pp we had a very nice breakfast. Location is very central. Makassar is a nice city to visit for a day or so.
Perfect for a family or group. Their staff is really helpful and super friendly. It feels like home staying here.
Yacob and his Family take really good care of their guests . Yacob is well connected in the area and took us to several ceremonies, caves and other interesting places . The food which was freshly cooked was tasty and fresh. I would recommend the homestay to my friends .The rooms were simple and provided everything you need . Hot shower and cold beer .
Henrik was very helpful with bus tickets when we were having difficulty booking online. When we arrived he was there to pick us up, and over the next two days was a wonderful guide, with his nephew Junus. We enjoyed the family atmosphere at the home stay.
We had a nice stay with Marlah and her family. She helped us with everything we needed like renting scooter, laundry services and taxi. Also the homestay is located in a very good location surrounded by good choices to eat and near a boulevard, so you can go and see the sunset :) the house was very lovely and tidy, and also our room was big enough. And lastly, the breakie was so good! Thanks for all!
Lovely host family. Paulus (host) did take us to a Torajan funeral as a guide. Also he arranged a rental motorbike/moped for us. His wife Ernie makes the best banana pancakes for breakfast!!
