Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Lea, the owner, went above and beyond to make our experience special, inviting us to her nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a welcome drink and some of the most delicious food, including local dishes she thoughtfully prepared non-spicy for us while keeping the authentic flavors intact. It's a wonderful family-run business—Lea’s mom also took us on two fantastic tours of the national park, showing us all the incredible wildlife with so much care and patience. Lea’s dedication to ensuring her guests have the best possible experience is truly inspiring, and we highly recommend staying here!

Manager Alex is very helpful and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer, and would absolutely stay here again.

The homestay features family rooms. New Family Homestay was like a home away from home. June greeted you at the gate when the taxi dropped us off. She was so welcoming. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean offering superb value for money. June was very helpful with answering any questions we had, even so stupid ones. She organised our tour through Tangkoko reserve with much patience as my wife was indecisive in deciding whether to do the first night tour. The guide she organised, Yento was absolutely sensational. He spotted everything, even the smallest of creatures and was so accommodating in sharing his knowledge and helping taking photos when animals were at a distance. Upon leaving June offered her continued support while we were in Sulawesi by suggesting if we had any questions we could contact us and she would help. This is a great homestay and is exceptional value for many and within walking distance to the park. We loved our stay and if we ever return this is where we would stay again.

Perfect little getaway house. Lovely pond outside. I realized that the location didn't really suit me, but Debora and Jeremy went all the way to help me out! There's not really any restaurants in the countryside neighborhood and Debora offered to cook more of their own dinner, which was lovely! 😍🙏 Over all I had a lovely stay!

Offering sea views, MAMALIS HOMESTAY is an accommodation set in Manado, 700 metres from Pangalisang Beach and 1.2 km from Liang Beach. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The room had an amazing view overlooking the beach and ocean. The room was very spacious, had a big bed and a very good fan that definitely cooled the room down enough. The bathroom was simple but worked perfectly and had everything you needed. Mama Lis was the kindest, most caring woman, always looking over my needs, cooking amazing dishes with a lot of variety and always had a very big smile on her face. I felt at home there and would have stayed even longer if I could have. If you want to have breakfast every day overlooking the ocean and the best host I would definitely recommend staying here.

Situated in Manado, just less than 1 km from Pangalisang Beach, Coco Divers & Homestay Bunaken features beachfront accommodation with a private beach area, a terrace and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The twin room is beachfront while the double room is streetside. I recommend beachfront, of course, it has a better view but also less noise from the roosters that are across the street. The double room has more indoor space, and big outdoor sofa bench, if that's what you need. It's right in the kampung village, so it's absolutely susceptible to more noise and activity; but it's also closer to the main pier and other restaurants. Lucky is a fantastic host, and the family puts a lot of care into the homestay. It's simple but very clean and cozy. There's many small thoughtful things about the place, it's an easy place to stay. The food is different every day, and it's easy to ask if you do/don't like something. Communication is very clear and prompt. The reef out front is a long swim before you see anything, but it's nearly the same with other places.
