At the homestay, each unit has a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. All units are fitted with a kettle, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while selected rooms have a balcony and some have mountain views. At the homestay, each unit includes bed linen and towels. I'll not be doing justice if I'm rating our stay only 10 out of 10. Everything, starting from the property, to the facilities, the host and the staff have really exceeded our expectations. The property which has been built to perfection, is located in a breathtaking location, surrounded by tea gardens, has got the royal touch and has been maintained really well. Hosted by Taj Sir and Mam, it's worth mentioning their warm welcome and hospitality. Personally taking care of all the guests, treating everyone as family members, their attention to detail is really appreciated. The cherry on the cake was the homely food cooked and served as per your pallet. This is definitely going to be my home for my next visits to Ooty. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Orchard Valley View Homestay to everyone visiting the Nilgiris.

The food, staff, location, rooms, garden and the whole package is the best for a couple. They have an unique homestay setup that combines the luxury of star hotel, and the personalized hospitality of the homestay warmth. It's not your typical homestay where there is a lot of warmth, but not much facilities. They have the facilities in comparison with a star hotel. Their in-house cafe makes indian, chinese and Italian dishes. Their pizza is the best I've had in a long time. I am amazed at their passion and dedication to give you the best. They can also make handmade pasta if you like. We stayed in the sunrise room. It has the absolute view of the sunrise right from the room. The view from here is better than so many viewpoints. A full fivestar for the rooms and the cafe.

We really enjoyed staying with Ronald and Sheila who made sure everything was good for us, including finding us a safe driver for four days. They also helped us plan our sightseeing trips in the local area and even took us to the local village to meet their parents. We would highly recommend for those looking to come to the Nilgiris hills, in particular foreign travellers who want to understand local culture and relax in the countryside. The WiFi was good enough to do some work calls which came up, which was helpful. Perfect English spoken. We enjoyed tea tasting at Tranquilitee and recommend Cafe Diem for lunch, an organic vegetarian cafe with a stunning view.

The homestay has family rooms. Awesome place run by a very beautiful family! I had a great time at the property and in Ooty in general. The view from the terrace is amazing, the food extremely tasty, but most importantly, the hosts are very very nice and helpful. The trip wouldn't have been the same without them. Will definitely stay here again and so should you 😊
