Location is perfect, close to Hase Dera and Big Budha, less than 5 mins to the Hase station, and opposite to the bus station. Lots of food around.

Upon our arrival, they provided us with a comprehensive overview of the resort’s offerings, including boat trips, the unique experience of eating black eggs on the volcano, restaurant recommendations, and more. Throughout our stay, whenever we encountered them, they genuinely inquired about our daily activities, which was a lovely gesture.

This guesthouse is listed in Michelin Green Guide. The guest house manager greeted us warmly when we arrived and let us leave our bags as we were too early for check-in. He can only speak Japanese, but I saw other guests use Google translate no problem. The property is a 10-second walk from the Oshiba bus stop and a 15-minute walk down to Moto-Hakone and Lake Ashi, making it a very convenient location. Even though we went during a really busy holiday period, we were happy to find this property for a much cheaper price than other spots around Hakone. There are lots of facilities including TV in the room, free tea/coffee and ramen noodles that can be bought in the kitchen for 200 yen. The beds were comfy and there was lots of information available regarding what to do in Hakone. You can cook in the kitchen and store food in the fridge. There's also a smoking spot in front of the house. Great if you're looking to have the traditional Japanese home experience. The manager even let us take an umbrella as we were very unprepared for the rain on our last day.
