There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. The owner of the property is proactive, asking us about our arrival time. We were given duck cookies (a delicacy of kamakura) and two luggage tags as a gift. We got here easily via train. It’s also a stone throw’s away from the beach and the Buddha. The best part of staying here is being able to do laundry for free. We had been travelling for 2 weeks before coming to Kamakura so we had a mountain of laundry. Water pressure in the shower is also 10/10.

Open in April 2017, Field Hakone Resort is set in Hakone, a 6-minute walk from Sengokuannaishomae Bus Stop. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. The people who run it were very kind and helpful. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. The location was central for everything that we wanted to do in Hakone. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

It is located within Fuji-Hakone National Park, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest Senkyoro Mae bus stop. Staying at the Fuji-Hakone Guest House felt like coming home. We found that the people who run this hotel are truly some of the kindest and most interesting people we have ever met. Will always feel blessed to meet Ted San, Lisa San, their parents, and Laito (their angelic dog). The space itself was absolutely stunning. The onsen renewed us and we slept extremely well. Talking to other guests at breakfast was another highlight. I have never felt so welcome on my travels anywhere. I would love to visit Fuji Hakone Guest House again just to experience the warmth and joy that I felt there. So much love to the wonderful family who runs it!
