The guest house features family rooms. great location! About 5 minutes walk to tsujiki market, train station and bus stops. Walking distance from several famous shrines and temples, and a lot of local eateries within walking distance as well. Great beer just down the road too. Host is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive even late at night. Was extremely lucky to get a room here during peak season considering they have a total of only four rooms. Rooms here are also more spacious than many hotels I've stayed at in kyoto and Japan in general. Will definitely come back!

A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. Lady Cecco, who is the owner of this beautiful 100years ++ old house was/is extremely friendly and helpful and among others an excellent cook! Apart from feeling very welcome, we also enjoyed her Japanese style breakfast, which was very special and delicious. The house is super charming and the tatami smells so good, the futon beds were comfortable and otherwise, in spite of being a historical place, the room was equipped with all possible comforts, i.a. a well-functioning AirCon, which was badly necessary, since our Kyoto visit happened to be during a terrible heatwave after heavy rains (ca. 40°C + unbearably humid). All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Azukiya very much! Arigato goizamazu :)

The property has garden and city views, and is 2.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. We stayed here during our stay in Kyoto. The house is old, made of some wood which smells great. The beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The upstairs has a shower and the downstairs has a bathtub and a garden. The house was very clean and in a quiet neighbourhood, close to a station so mobility is also good. Kayoko is a wonderful hostess, she prepared a full and delicious Japanese breakfast for us every day and in the afternoons she left us sweets and tea, as well as writing cute little notes explaining the dishes. She also speaks very good English so we could communicate easily and get personal recommendations of places to visit in the city. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Kyoto ^^.

Mrs Haruda and her husband are the kindest people ever!! We were 2 adults and 2 children the house has everything we needed, super clean, close to all the the tourist places we wanted to go. It’s 2 minutes walking from a big supermarket. Mrs Haruka is adorable, helped us with everything, we felt like if we were visiting our family, she took her time to explain to us where were the best tourist attractions and how to use the train and underground, her house is just 3 minutes walking from it. I can just say THANK YOU SO MUCH for their hospitality!! Next time we go to Kyoto we will definitely stay there again!! ARIGATO GOZAIMAS!! UEMA’s family

It was clean and breakfast was good.

This 1-star guest house offers a lift and luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. It was actually rather larger for what we have been used to in Japan. The fact there is everything you need, the washing machine a huge plus in summer and close to the stations. Honestly, I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Also super quiet and felt extremely safe.
