Baco Myoko has an unassuming facade hiding a relaxed, comfortable haven to kick back in after riding the surrounding mountains. Ai has great knowledge of the area when it comes to eating and good advice on mountains to ski for the current conditions. A great place to meet people if adventuring alone, private onsens, shuttles to the mountains and great breakfasts are all part of the package.I know how hard it is to sort through all the accomodation options in myoko, trust me and stay with Ai for your trip. We were the only guests as this was the low season, but we still had a very fun time. The location was exceptionally peaceful and we enjoyed falling asleep with the sounds of the nearby forest around us. We enjoyed the breakfast each day very much. The area is ski-oriented so there weren't many businesses open. Still, we enjoyed a bit of hiking to nearby onsen towns like Tsubame Onsen. Sasa-san was even kind enough to prepare a curry rice at the last minute when we arrived after we discovered that all of the nearby restaurants were closed.

Great location! We were able to walk less the 5 minutes to wherever we needed to go. (Restaurants, bars, rental shops, ski resorts.) we were in Japan for about 3 weeks and stayed at multiple hotels and it was by far my favorite! On top of that they served the best breakfast!! Super unique dishes that were absolutely divine! The staff were out of this world helpful, generous, and kind! Super clean environment, beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was exactly what you needed after a full day of snowboarding! Carlo!!!!! Which is the owner, he was extremely welcoming, very personable, helpful, communicative. Traveling to a new country to snowboard, he was kind enough to take us out exclusively and show us around the mountain so we were comfortable and felt safe. On top of that, we had some trouble with shipping our boardbag, Carlo was kind enough to go out of his way to the deliver the bag to the company himself. He really made our into trip memorable! This staff made us feel like family! Shout out Connor, best bartender in Myoko!

would liked to have booked my breakfast before my stay, very good hosts
Comfortable rooms, lovely hosts, drying room as well as a large storage area.
Great Ryokan with delicious food and welcoming host family! They will help you with anything you need, including ski pass discount and a drive to the rental shop. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to the area.
We loved the family feel of the property! Miyu and Kimmi were great hosts. Always driving us to the slopes and able to assist in recommending onsens and restaurants and booking them too. The breakfast was fresh and tasty daily. Their ski knowledge was exceptional and gave great advice depending on conditions. We can highly recommend this property. We got a great taste of Japanese family life, they were so inclusive of our family of five. Akakura Onsen and Kanko were gorgeous family run resorts.
Relaxed feel Great Hosts
Wasabi Wonderland was like walking into a chalet you see in the movies. It was beautiful and comfortable. All the furnishings had an attention to detail that was noticeable. The different layers of the house created almost an ‘adventure’ inside the house. The scenery was spectacular. Matt and Jen were great hosts and nothing was too hard - including helping us to take our daughter to the local hospital with a translator.
Nathan and akiko are great hosts. Excellent breakfasts and comfortable beds . Nathan provides pick up and drop off services which helps a lot when you don't have a vehicle.
felt like we were at home with our lovely hosts, and the lodge is very homely. great breakfast too
beautifully designed, great hosts, tasty breakfasts!
