This guest house offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. The guest house has family rooms. his is one of the best homestays/minshuku I've stayed in Japan. The host is very responsive before, during, and after the stay. Even though the bathroom and showers are shared, all the facilities are clean and the amenities provided, such as coin laundry, a fully-stocked kitchen, and a cosy common area, really exceeded my expectations. AEON mall / supermarket is 5 minutes away and the JR station/bus terminal is about 20 minutes away on foot. Easy peasy in terms of access. Highly recommend!

Loved the food Chris prepared, would definitely suggest trying their cafe. Also, Kumi was kind to help keep our luggage on our checkout date for some additional time while we roamed the Matsumoto castle. She also helped with luggage forwarding services, which was a lifesaver. Definitely reccommend coming here.

14 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Guest House Hostel yukuru is a recently renovated property situated in Iiyama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 21 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

Clean, close to the lifts at the top of the hill, great private onsen, lovely owners and comfortable beds.

One of my favorite stays during my Japan trip. Matsumoto is such a beautiful city, very communal and scenic. I loved my stay at Guesthouse Azumaya. The owner, Shotaro, is such a gent and very fun to talk to. He knows all the best spots around the area and was very accommodating. A special shoutout to Nozomi also, he is a very sweet boy and looks after the guests well. The hostel has the cheapest washing machine from any other hostel I've visited, and it runs completely off an honorary system whereby you put 100 yen into a coin box. There's shampoo, body wash and conditioner stocked in the shower, there's also a good hairdryer, all free of charge. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are just the right size to store all your belongings. The wifi is fast and reliable, perfect for any digital nomads. I felt very comfortable and welcomed, I would definitely stay here again.

Featuring a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Overall, the facility is very comfortable and clean. The dormitory room has a locker for storage of personal belongings. The bed is comfortable and cozy, and bed sheets and pillow sheets to overlay on top of the futon are provided. We had a very good sleep. The common area is also well decorated and comfortable. There is a free water station, interesting books, board games, and card games. We had fun reading the horoscope book and playing Uno cards in the common area while drinking some locally sourced water, which is very tasty! This place also operates a bar at night. Although we didn't get a drink, we had gelato, which was very yummy! They also have a sauna room and provide rental towels for 200 yen. The shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner provided in the shower room are surprisingly good quality, making the shower enjoyable. They also sell their own goods, such as stickers, sauna hats, and mesh net bags. The selections are interesting and cute. The location is good—about a 12-minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The Matsumoto Castle is right next to it (about a 5-minute walk). We love this place and would definitely come again!
