The place is wonderful, brand new, super clean, perfectly equipped, comfy beds, nice kitchen and an awesome rooftop terrace. You need a car in Ishigaki anyways, so the location with car is perfect, away from the touristy city in a quiet lovely area, few minutes drive from Kabira bay and the secluded beaches! A well maintained garden with patio, sea shell decorations and a passion fruit tree:) Absolutely recommend the place!

Having bikes available (regular ones are free) was SUCH a nice bonus, it literally made my trip. I could get around easily (you do need to like biking) including going to the city, or to nearby beaches, or even to much further places.

We chose to stay here for 2 weeks while working remotely and had an absolutely wonderful stay at Andy & Haruko’s property. Guest House Ishigaki is a beautiful, extremely clean, and well-designed house equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Farmer’s Market and tons of great shops and restaurants are a stone’s throw away, as well as the ferry to other nearby islands. We really appreciated Andy & Haruko’s attention to sustainability throughout, and their thoughtful touches, like the cold jasmine tea in the fridge at all times to cool down from the heat. We had let them know in advance that we would be working remotely and they even created a desk space for us in our room. And the beds were SO comfortable - we had the best sleeps here of our 2 months in Japan. Though the location and amenities were amazing, the best part about our stay was undoubtedly the people; Andy, Haruko and Yuichiro are some of the loveliest people who genuinely care about their guests. We could not have wished for anything more!
