Has everything you could possibly ask for. Rooms are very comfortable, there are plenty of toilets, bathroom facilities, so no waiting time. The showers come with small onsen, every one of which is uniquely pretty. There are large common areas, which are very social. We even got invited to join the owners steam pot party one evening.

Plus, if you are doing the Kumano Kodo, Nonagase Guest House is right on the path and so you don't have to take a detour and the nearest shop is like a 10 minute walk.

My family and I liked how spacious, convenient and warm welcoming our host was! The location was few minutes walking distance to local restaurants and family mart. It was also approximately 8 minutes from Kumano Hayatama Taisha and in front of the bus stop heading towards to Nachi. Our host, Sasaki-san, was also kind to give us an introduction to the place along with offering free icecream, beer and sake! Overall we recommend this place!

The guest house has parking on-site, a hot tub and a shared kitchen. 5 of other pilgrims booked the same hotel which is this one because it is the only one that's open during low season! The owner is incredibly nice and made me feel I wanna move to Japan! This is my first time in this country and the staff here is super friendly and made me feel really home, even better than the 5 star hotels in Osaka. The owner even speaks Chinese and helped me arrange massage. Impeccable. Thank you so much!

The room is nice and big and the jacuzzi was wonderful! Wish we could have stayed longer!

The house is splendid, the room is cozy and spacious, the conditioner is working. We had a good night's sleep. Surprisingly cheap for such a good place and a last minute reservation. Went to a nearby yakiniku place (Yakiniku ichi, 2 min walk from the property), wasn't able to stop thinking about it for the past week, one of the best meals I've ever had. In the morning we went to the cafe the owners run (Quaith, キース) and had delicious cheese and bacon toasts for breakfast. If I ever go to Shirahama again will definitely stop there again.
