The location is excellent since it is close to the centre but in a quiet area. And it is also very close to the beach. I highly recommend the place.

At the homestay, the units have bed linen and towels. In my opinion, this is the best place you can stay in Tangalle. It is located a little bit outside the center so calmer but still close enough so that within 5 minutes, you are in town if you wish to. Two of the most beautiful beaches of the area (Silent Beach and Goyambokka Beach) are within walking distance. The place itself is absolutely great. It's a beautiful house with the hosts living on ground floor and the rooms/apartments on 2nd and 3rd floor. They are very spacious and equipped with everything you need, both for a short vacation or for a longer term stay. The beds are comfortable and the mattresses have standard US/European length, so your feet won't stick out. The AC works properly and in addition there is a fan. The WiFi is perfectly stable and fast enough even for video calls. The bathroom is clean and designed in such a way so that you can take a shower without the entire floor being wet for hours. The host and his family are very friendly and welcoming. His English is very good which makes communication easy, and he replies very quickly. They offer food at their place and rent out scooters. Given the price all of this is offered to us as guests, this place definitely deserves a 10 star review. I have already recommended coming here to friends and am certain you will be happy staying here either.

They can cook you a delicious, fresh dinner, cooked on the spot, or they can organize various excursions in the area (safari, temple visit, kayaking on the lagoon, etc.). The breakfast is rich and very tasty, with fruit from the owners' garden. The atmosphere in the area is very quiet, there are not many tourists, you can meet locals which gives the place a truly authentic atmosphere.

Host is so kind thar he will take great care of each and everything. Room was so nice and clean with chilled AC and fan. Host picked me up from bus stop which is extremely helpful because it was raining and there were no tuk tuk there. I had to go to Ella later, host provided best guidance how to get direct bus. Host took me on his car to bus stop. Bus stop was quite far. Host ensures I boarded bus safely and then he left. Best host I had ever.

The bathroom was modern, nice and clean. The family is absolutely wonderful and did everything they could to ensure that we had a perfect stay. They served cheap drinks and food (much cheaper than the restaurants) and adapted the food as we wanted. Lovely food❤️ The lovation is also perfect.

The host was incredibly friendly and helped us out with any matter we had and also organized an amazing safari for us. After we arrived he took us for a little bird tour, which was really nice. He treated us with a fresh coconut, fruits and little snacks. The hospitality was outstanding. The room and generally the whole property was clean and comfy. We felt really welcomed and enjoyed our stay! We can definitely recommend this awesome place! Thank you very much for everything, we will come back! :-)

The room was amazing and the pool was clean with warm water. They also offer tasteful dinner a la carte which is convenient after a safari. Highly recommended!

All rooms have a balcony with views of the garden. We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.
