On their recommendation, we went on a safari that turned into a private tour, where we saw a variety of animals. They also gave us a free tuktuk tour around Sigiriya, taking us to a stunning viewpoint and a herbal garden with an informative tour. Their hospitality made our stay unforgettable, and we’re grateful for such an enriching homestay experience.

At the homestay, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The Lady Owner is a great and very friendly. She makes sure that guests are very well treated and happy. She cook fantastic Sri Lankan cuisine with love. She has a nice smile every time she meets with the guests. Simple be there and feel home.

The garden is beautiful and Harsha was a gracious host. We had a delicious and very filling dinner for 1970 Rs. Harsha showed us the local native plants in the garden that they use for cooking. The location is close to Sigiriya Rock and even has a view of the rock from the dining area.

These are hard working people that are doing their best to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Both of which I did.

The owner is incredibly helpful, offering assistance with scooter or tuk-tuk rentals and organizing local trips. The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!

There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. It's a little little family business with fantastic hosts! A basic but cosy treehouse, the cooking time with their family was one of my best experience in Sigiriya! Those people deserve a big big support

Hidden Lake Cottages Sigiriya is located in Sigiriya and features a private pool and lake views. Featuring babysitting service, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The guest house provides pool views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available. Super nice rooms, well decorated, very clean and calm. The private pool is a real plus. Perfect to chill and relax. Mahesh is the manager of the place and was offering to us free pick up from the center to the cottage which really helped us a lot. I really recommend this place. The only 2 things that do not match with the description of the hotel: no free pick up from dambulla and no bikes to lend in the place.
