The atmosphere is very nice being the room part of the host's house, but you also get your own space and privacy as it is separated from the rest of the house. The host is extremely welcoming, warm, and fair. She wants the absolute best for her guests, let me tell you why: as my flight was leaving early morning I was exploring the options on how to get there (keep in mind the location is about 1km away from the airport so walking could be an option if you don't mind being on the side of the main road). Upon sharing my options with the host, she immediately discouraged me from taking a taxi (this would have been about 10€...not too much for a European standard but overpriced to the eyes of the locals). Long story short, she actually volunteered to drive us, at 6am on a Saturday, free of any additional charge....tell me this isn't an example of good hosting. PLEASE DONT TAKE MY WORDS AS A SERVICE SHE PROVIDES ON A REGULAR BASIS.

The apartment is beautiful and the little terrace made it feel so cozy as if it was your own home. We didn’t know there was a festival during our visit and so, on our last night, the whole city was bustling with a couple of Djs and a concert. We thought we were going to have issues sleeping, however, we couldn’t hear a thing inside the apartment! But what really stands out here is the service; we arrived at 7AMish (we took a night bus) and they did everything possible to have our room ready at 12noon. After breakfast and walking around the city for a bit, we were able to wait on their terrace and they greeted us with a plate of grapes from their own garden and very valuable information about Kotor. Communication during our stay was always on point, plus they messaged us some wonderful restaurant recommendations - we loved this!! Overall, they made our stay easy and enjoyable with their top notch service. Thanks for everything!

Offering a garden and mountain view, Villa Aronija is set in Kotor, 200 metres from Orahovac Beach and 8.5 km from Sea Gate - Main Entrance. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. This 4-star guest house offers private entrance. Building is away from a busy road and therefore peaceful which we like. Birdsong very nice as plenty of trees around with very good views of the Bay of Kotor . We enjoyed watching the cruise ships arriving and departing. We use buses so it is convenient for bus stops both directions, which are just down the short lane from the accommodation. There is a small shop within 10 minutes walking along the idyllic beach front. There are a few supermarkets en route to Kotor itself so no need to go into Kotor where it can be very busy with traffic and tourists. Alexander, the host, was efficient in telling us information about the buses and amenities in the surrounding area. The apartment we had for 4 nights was stylish, spacious and we were able to cook on the hob. We didn't use the dishwasher as the sink area is adequate. We walked to St George church about a mile away or so. We also caught a Blueline bus to Perast which is very picturesque but can be heavy with tourists, just like Kotor, so choose your time! It all depends what type of holiday you want, although lying on a beach sunbathing and swimming is obviously a delight here at certain times of the year. There are boat trips, walking possibilities and scenic sightseeing in this area. The village is called Orahovac which is a charming, quiet - through road traffic notwithstanding - an unassuming place which stands in stark contrast to the surging tourist crowds of Kotor town and Perast ( mainly from the cruise ships that dock in the Bay every day) so it depends on what you want from a holiday on the Bay of Kotor.
