We stayed two nights at Overvoll Farm to explore the area of the Geiranger fjord. Upon arrival we were immediately charmed by the looks of the guesthouse and its interior. A perfect combination of old style tradition combined with modern comfort. Our host Hege Kristin made us feel very welcome. We had breakfast twice and one evening dinner. Both breakfast and dinner were great! An large variety of products to choose from, and many were home made. I tried some (for me) unusual combinations, and everything was very tasteful. Dinner was great too with local hunted deer stew and home grown vegetables. In between we also had some great conversations with Hege Kristin. Our host didn't make us feel like welcome guest, but she spoiled us like royalty.

Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. The brightly decorated studio apartments tell you the ancient history of the building. The rooms come with views of the Atlantic Ocean from French balconies. Kristiansund town center is 10km away. The Atlantic Ocean Road is 25km away. Overall great stay with wonderful cuisine, as a surprise .Creative meals and fresh products. This was our seconda stay , on way back we cancel other booking to experience this place and be wellcome by the friendly staff again. And we will be back.
