The host, Lene, is the most wonderful, charming, helpful, and knowledgeable host we have encountered. She makes a difference. Her house is beautiful and she shares it with grace and unique charm. Great coffee machine, fully equipped kitchen. Very good bed. This place offers terrific views from the common relaxation area. Asking Lena for tips is a must.

The dinner was the best we have had in Norway and it was wonderful to be one tiny part of preserving the history of such a beautiful place. We walked to the sculpture garden at our hosts recommendation and we were cozy inside while the wind blew and the sea crashed under the docking in the night.

It was great! The toilet and bathroom are in the ground floor, so expect stairs up and down, but no problem for me.

The shared living room is spacious and cozy with library, records colletion and decorated with artistic items. The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring a toaster and a mini coffee machine that made rainy mornings delightful. Spatious shower room with washing machine. The house itself is cozy and steeped in history; as the owner explained, it used to be a telegraph station. The owners are incredibly kind, friendly, and interesting people. The accommodation offers an air conditioning, a heating and a private bathroom. Perfect location just 4 miles from Svolvær where we departed our Hurtigruten ship. The property is just off the harbor with a water view out the kitchen window. The apartment nicely remodeled and appointed with beautiful cabinets and appliances and was very comfortable. Great off-street parking with a grocery store nearby. The host visited us to explain how to use the appliances and made suggestion on places to dine as well as sightseeing opportunities.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Heimbrygga is definitely the most charming and hospitable place I’ve stayed in Lofoten. It’s located right by the ferry and overlooks the lovely harbor and scenic views of Skrova island. The place itself is very authentic, rustic and delightfully designed with tasteful touches like a Nordic boutique hotel but without the fuss. The hotel co-owner and manger Monica is really lovely and treats her guests and staff equally well. She was always warm and accommodating (for early check in and late checkout), which I really appreciated. I somehow felt very much at home with the warmth of the staff and the ambiance of the property. Easy to get to hiking and beaches nearby, and food at the restaurant was well played prepared. I would have gladly stayed longer but hope to be back again soon.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the guest house's outdoor fireplace. This place exceeded all my expectations. It was by far our favourite stay in Norway in a 2-week trip (and I almost didn't book it because we were going to Lofoten islands and Sortland was not really on our radar). + Let me start by saying that the owner was really friendly and kind. + The place is some kilometers away from Sortland, in a small village and a bit away from other houses. Behind it there is a ski run that follows a little stream where you can take a walk in the middle of nature, with mountains, close to the sea and surrounded by snow. + The studio is a very special place, more so for me because I studied Art History. Seeing all the lovely paintings and vintage pieces, sculptures, books, rugs, furniture... it is my dream home! I hope one day I can have such an amazing collection myself. + The lightning is also cozy and well thought. + We were lucky enough to arrive when there was a lot of snow, so the place was even more magical. I couldn't get tired of watching through the large windows to the garden covered in snow and the glasshouse. + The beds were very comfy and spacious. + Loved the floor heating on the bathroom :)
