Beautiful view, relaxing. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped bungalows. Great coffee! Walking distance to shops and restaurants and takeaways. Bring a torch for walking back at night. 2 minutes walk to the lagoon. Bikes for hire close by but Pierre and Motire are happy to help out transport wise if you need a lift somewhere or want to go further afield. They were great hosts. Their place is close to the Tiputa diving pass, where you can also watch dolphins jumping. Sunrise on the ocean side and incredible sunsets on the lagoon side. And don’t forget to look up at the stars. Incredible. I can highly recommend this place.

Vaimoe Lodge Tiputa features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tiputa, 500 metres from Tiputa Pass. With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. Every room includes a terrace with views of the inner courtyard. Location was super, very quiet with a great view. Breakfast was very good and changed depending on days. The owners were the kindest and really took care of us during our stay. I would highly recommend this accomodation if you want to spend time in the Atoll of Rangiroa.

LE FARE BLEU Tiputa Rangiroa is a recently renovated homestay in Tiputa, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy sea views. The pension is new, clean and beautiful. It’s right in front of the beach, it has very comfy sun beds to sit and relax outside and a big table to enjoy the meals. The area is calm and simply wonderful and the lagoon in front is like a pool. We took the kayak twice and explored around (it’s free), and we also used the bicycles taking them with us to the other side via the taxi boat. There are small exotic fishes and even saw a couple of small sharks at dusk. Emanuelle is a lovely person and a great host. Chloe the dog is sweet and there are also 2 cute cats moving discreetly around. Emanuelle suggested us things to do, like a great excursion and helped me out a lot when I got an ear infection. I could not ask for more from a host. If you want to enjoy Rangiroa at your own pace, take in the beauty of the place and leave stress behind this is the place. Thank you for everything!

Henri knows all the best places and provides exceptional recommendations for just about anything on both parts of the atoll and makes everything simple and easy. Yaks diving was superb and when I couldn’t get in the first day suggested a private dive with Serge of Arachamides diving where I had my first underwater encounter with dolphins.

Rainwater for the showers and toilets, bring your own drinking water, and solar electric (that worked most of the time). Fans and sea breezes, no A/C. No WiFi, "two-bar" cellular. Good for email, marginal for the internet. There is a "road" to "town" but it doesn't connect to the road from the airport. On a busy day, maybe six cars went by. You want to escape traffic, this is the place. Boats are how you get around. Snorkeling and kayaking right off the beach of our bungalow. Excursions to places around the atol come right to your deck to pick you up. There are some cool adventures, do them. Ilona, the host, is an excellent cook. Polynesian comfort food. Take the meal plan. Bring your own alcohol and snacks for lunch. Easy to get a taxi to the local grocery store from the airport when you arrive, if you ask. Then, taxi will take you to the boat that shuttles you to the place. Our cup of tea, we loved it. Your mileage may differ.

Going to the Motu and the bungalow there is very very nice. It has amazing views and such peace. Also great we can use the canoes for free.
