The staff, however, is absolutely the best: both Anne and Vítor were super considerate and helpful, our car broke down 5 minutes away on arrival and they both gave us rides on different days, Vítor even went around with us to several car shops trying to find us a fix. We'll definitely be back!

The homestay has family rooms. Wonderful host!! He helped us with our luggage all the way to the hotel from our car and gave us a perfect recommendation for a dinner spot!. Look for the street number above the door. Host met us at the door. Free parking in the village was close to the hotel. Host is very responsive to any messages. We would recommend and would stay there again!

The young man who checked us in and made our breakfast was so thoughtful and kind in spite of our knowing extremely limited Portuguese. It was a short walk to the castle from the hotel. The streets are crazy up and down but so much fun to see.

The bed was so comfortable. The air con in the room was great too! Shower was powerful which we loved especially after a long hike doing the fisherman’s trail. There was a small kitchen area to use a fridge and to make teas and coffees. This was great for the morning before we set off on our hike. This was the best place we stayed on the entire trail!
