Everything was perfect—the staff, breakfast, room, location, the view of the Douro River, and the Jacuzzi. We were able to enjoy it even in the cold weather. We’ll definitely come back again.

They took the time to show us around the property. Very friendly hosts. They gave us great recommendations for dinner places. We enjoyed the pool, and we even had a taste of fruits they grow on their property. The family room was spacious for 5 people, beds are very comfortable and bathroom is gorgeous. The continental breakfast was served with homemade jams they make themselves. Lots of personal touches which we loved. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The village is picturesque. We could park our car in the fenced car park of the house. Our dogs were very welcome. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The hosts cooked us a delicious three-course dinner which we ordered in advance. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and wishes we could have stayed longer.

Have dinner and do the optional wine and port tasting, it's brilliant! The owner is very knowledgeable about the wines and a really nice guy!

Featuring a garden and views of city, Casa do Hospital-Guest House is a homestay situated in a historic building in Abaças, 7.3 km from Natur Waterpark. We were received by Paula who gave us first a brief introduction to the history of the house. The next day morning Carlos gave us plenty of tips regarding visits to touristic places around. The breakfast was given on a big family dining table. There were a couple of other guests too! We could talk and exchange information. The highlight of our stay was the dinner one evening. We all sat together, exchanged our wines and food, and had lively talk with Paula and Carols on different subjects. It was as if talking with some good old friends. :-) We also could go down to the village and walk to vineyards one morning before the breakfast.
