Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place. New. Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

Horizon Retreat in Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with an infinity pool and a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay provides a fitness room and a shared kitchen. Alan was a wonderful host, couldn’t have done any more to make my stay a better one. The pool and views were lovely, the bed incredibly comfortable, and I had everything I needed.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Profetas GuestHouse is a recently renovated guest house situated in Porto Santo, 1.1 km from Porto Santo Beach. The property has city and quiet street views, and is 4.1 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The hosts were wonderfully kind and open, the breakfast was excellent, and the house had a welcoming atmosphere. We truly felt at home and very comfortable throughout our stay.

Boasting garden views, Cozy House features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 5.4 km from Marina do Funchal. Featuring sea and mountain views, this guest house also includes free WiFi. Girao Cape is 12 km away and Santana's Traditional Houses is 43 km from the guest house. Nelson was an amazing host, we even got to taste his own avocado and orange, which were absolutely delicious. Great view, comfy bed, cozy house - just like its name, nice and clean bathroom with access to 2 terraces. Would love to come back any time, 100% suggest it to anyone.

Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the sea and mountain. The apartment is gorgeous and spotless clean. The host is very available, responsive, friendly and welcoming. Check in is completely seamless. The property has a beautiful, sizable garden with a great view of the town and ocean. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay in this property because of all the attention to detail that the host put towards the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, which is a rarity. Some places are furnished expensively but in an impersonal and cold style, but this one is truly someone's home, with great character, that the host is sharing with you.

This property offers access to a pool table and darts. The guest house features mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Warm welcome, homey feeling.
