Doors to the balcony provided an amazing view of nature, which gave me the feeling I was in the middle of a jungle. Still, the beach was very close by (location: close enough to everything, but still calm and quiet). The room was clean and had everything i needed. Breakfast was really really good. With home made dishes and a lot of fresh fruits (see pictures to know what to expect). During my stay there were two occasions when I was extra happy that I stayed at the Orchid Home: (1) My birthday: my brother had contacted the host to ask if they wanted to pass on a birthday card for me. When they learned it was my birthday, they made a big thing out of it: extra special breakfast, a little birthday cake with candles, and all staff came to sing for me. It was really lovely. (2) I had a little accident with a motor cycle on my last night in Koh Tao: June was there for comfort and helped me as she provided ice packs, iso-betadine, and tea. All and all, I loved staying here. When I come back to Koh Tao, I will stay at the Orchid home again.

For us the location was perfect, it's very quiet, has an amazing view, private beach with brilliant snorkeling possibilities (we saw a turtle during our morning swim). It's a bit remote, but has a very good restaurant, so if you're not looking for the buzz and parties of the town, it's a perfect spot. The owner and staff are very chill and warm.

Check in was easy and fast and the location relative to the pier made it perfect to get a few extra minutes of sleep before out morning ferry.

Guesthouse Sairee Sairee is a 5-minute walk from the lively night life area and a 5-minute drive from Maehaad Pier. Couldn’t recommend more! great staff, lovely and clean, perfect location. We extended 2 extra days as we loved it so much!
