Excellent place to stay in Cat Ba. Mr Tuyen is a kind host. He helped us book a cruise and transfer to Hanoi. The Banh Minh we had for breakfast was delicious. There's free foot bath every evening. The hotel is quiet and cozy, about 3 km from the town. We got a big, spacious room with spotless linen. Will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Since we went on the Lan Ha Bay / Halong Bay Day Cruise, I wanted a place which was a little off the beach and in the interiors of Cat Ba. The property was exactly as advertised and was in a quiet, serene location with a backwater away from the commercialised aspects of the city (on the reclaimed beach front) while being situated about 2.5 km from the City Centre. There are only 3 rooms in the property, so it's not very crowded. What I really liked was the hospitality of our host, Phurong who was extremely proactive from the time we booked the hotel. She was the epitome of Vietnamese hospitality and the best host I have had in any homestay till date. She told us exactly where we needed to go, what we needed to avoid and put everything on my Google Maps (including over half a dozen restaurants). It is also better to book any rental bikes, bus tickets, cruise tickets through Phurong as it saves a lot of time and is at par with the market rates. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with a lot of exotic fruits on my plate. If I ever come to Cat Ba again, no matter what my budget is, I will book my stay at Cat Ba Corner. If you're still having second thoughts about this property, I say go for it. I have been where you are and am glad I decided to stay at Corner Cat Ba and wouldn't change a thing.

Tasty banana pancake at breakfast and good value room compared to other homestays on cat ba. Rented a bike from them and had laundry done, all went smoothly. We liked the location as it was quieter and among the locals. Means there is a short walk to the center, 10 minutes down a hill.

The lovely Kim An welcomed us so warmly to her homestay that we immediately felt at home! Whether we had questions about Ha Long Bay, buying glasses, or having trouble with taxi drivers, Kim An was always there to help straight away :-) In addition to the very clean room, the linens are super soft and the bed comfortable. The garden area is a great place to have a relaxing breakfast and coffee, or a cocktail or beer in the evening. Not to be forgotten are the authentic American pizzas, which she lovingly prepares fresh on site and even makes her own ricotta, as it is extremely difficult to find in Vietnam. Another highlight are her two animal companions: the lively dog ​​Sophie and the kitten Phoenix, who curiously wanders around the beer garden and is up for any game 😍 The homestay is looked after every day, whether it is painting doors or watering the countless plants. Everything here is made with love, so much so that we had to move on with a tear in our eye. The homestay was our absolute highlight! Thank you very much for this wonderful time!
