Her husband is just as kind, and together they have the warmest smiles that make you feel like family. If I ever find myself in CatBa again, there’s no question—I’ll stay with Pi and her family. The room was lovely, really clean, comfortable, and just felt cozy. Perfect base for us as a couple exploring the area. The host was fantastic too, super friendly and helpful with local tips, but also gave us our space. Made us feel right at home. Definitely recommend!

He Can help with boat tours, trekking tours, motorbike rentals and getting a bus to your next destination. And the pho at breakfast is also amazing

Situated near Cat Co 2 Beach and Cannon Fort, Cat Ba Santorini Homestay is in Cat Ba and features free private parking and a restaurant. Set on the beachfront, this property has a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests. We stayed two nights at Homestay Cat Ba Santorini and it has been a very pleasant experience. The host, Mr. Tien helped us arrange both transport from the pier to the homestay and from the homestay to our next destination and the communication prior to our arrival has been great. The property is very clean and our room was the same. It was very spacious on two floors with more beds than we needed . The location is also very convenient and there are a lot of restaurants nearby and a few minutes from Cat Ba Town center. They also have a restaurant but we did not have the chance to try it. We had a great stay and I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Cat Ba!

The property features city and quiet street views, and is less than 1 km from Cannon Fort. The homestay has family rooms. I tend to be a fairly independent traveller, usually preferring to get on with things myself. Yet Bamboo House has a remarkable way of drawing you in. I booked a Ha Long Bay tour through them — which was absolutely breathtaking — and on the morning of, I was feeling a bit peckish with half an hour still to go before breakfast. One of the ladies on staff noticed me hovering and, without a word, disappeared into the back, returning with a baguette, some jam, and a coffee. Such a simple, thoughtful gesture, but one I’ll never forget. The location is spot on for both food and the harbour. My room was comfortable, though I did find the door lock a little fiddly at times. The real charm comes out after dark: the common area turns into a lively hub of travellers swapping tips and stories. I picked up recommendations for hidden beaches in Thailand and the best pho in Hanoi simply by listening in. This isn’t a silent, clinical hotel — it’s more a living, breathing meeting place for wanderers. If total peace and privacy is what you’re after, you may wish to look elsewhere. But if you’d like to feel the heartbeat of Cat Ba and connect with fellow explorers, this is exactly the spot.
