A cool location as for me :direct way to the city centre and to the museum of Venice masks as well.A quiet area with private villas ,safe parking in the yard.The room is little but it has everything you need.A few blankets are provided as it is rather cold inside and outside.The AC helps a bit to keep the room warm.The owner is very responsive and supportive.Nice communication in English and fast answers in Booking.Clean,nice,comfortable.Easy to find and easy to reach.Hospitable and friendly,polite and helpful.

First time in Albania ever, first few nights in the country and I was both lucky and blessed to stay at the North Star Hostel. It’s brand new, very clean, beds are very comfy and the owners are amazing. Zana and Haris both speak perfect English and they will really make you feel welcome and appreciated. As a solo female vacationer this was perfect and I can’t recommend enough.

I’ve loved every second and the Galley! Wonderful staff and a great occasion to meet new people and respect for personal spaces. The kitchen and the livingroom are very well organized and clean. Beautiful murales color the whole place, a green-friendly vibe and the spicy american host make a stop at the Galley, while travelling, a hostel-must!

I came here for one night since they are the only hostel in Shkoder that accepts credit cards, but I ended up extending it for four more nights. I already want to return! Fun owner and is easy to talk to and connect with. The hostel has a great common room, and the beds have a curtain. The best value for money. Oh they have professional bicicles for rent. I recommend taking one and climbing the mountain above the lake. It also overlooks Montenegro beaches, and going downhill with the professional bike is extremely fun. Also, don't miss the beautiful Teth village.

    This place is really cool. Nice people, quiet neighbourhood with parking outside. We were able to leave our car in their safe off-street parking for a small fee while we were hiking in the mountains. Beers and coffee cheap. They can help with everything for excursions away to the mountains. Excellent hostel!

    This is a wonderful new, family run hostel that should be at the top of everyone's list for a place to stay in Shkodër. It has a great location and a stunning rooftop terrace with gorgeous 360 ° views. The staff are fabulous and if you're lucky, you'll get a chance to taste the owner's delicious homemade wine. With great value for the money, book your bed before word gets around and there won't be any available. One of the best hostels in Albania.

    The room is fine, same as the bathroom. Cheap stay, so comparable quality. We were able to leave our suitcase in the hostel whilst going on the hikes, that was nice.

    Price is very cheap so great value for money. Located in the central tourist streets, the safest and cleanest part of the city, even if you do not stay here I strongly recommend staying nearby. Hostel has decent kitchen facilities. All the staff (and the people staying while I was there) were really friendly.
