Our room was amazing! We had so much space (no bunk beds), a nice view and a working AC. The highlight was our own bathroom. It was clean and comfy. Everyday we had a social activity and it was easier to meet new people. Next to the reception was a guy who gave us information about booking tours and possible things to do in and around Melbourne.

Stayed twice june and september this year, the place is excellent and staff are amazing. Tram is 50 metres away and Windsor train station a three minute walk. The large tv is a bonus and electronic lock with individual codes make it very safe. Kitchen is clean with plenty of utensils and will be back to stay again.

I really loved my stay at the Pint on Punt Hostel and I highly recommend it to everyone! It was the first hostel I went to after coming to Australia and I would have extended my stay if it wasn't fully booked. The free breakfast is not only convenient but a great time to meet other travelers. The staff was extremely nice and helpful too. The kitchen area has a section for free food and free stuff from other travelers which I really liked! Not only it's sustainable but I found some really nice things there and also donated some stuff I didn't need anymore on my trip. Having a pub at the ground floor is very convenient and somehow it was never noisy in my room. You also get a discount on the food if you're a hostel guest. If you're looking for jobs they have many job offers posted on the bulletin board. I met many long term guests there which is also always a good sign for a hostel :)

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
