Lovely pool to cool down in. Social areas with hammocks. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially Sofi. She really helped us out when i wasn’t feeling well and quickly arranged for a room to be clean so we could check in early. Immaculate rooms which were spacious and comfortable beds. Fridge in the room was ideal and a kitchen to cook in. Also hot water in the shower. Great stay and I would highly recommend the place.

We are beginning- intermediate surfers and stayed at El Gato Rojas as a family with two grown kids. It was the perfect place for us and gave the kids some car-free independence. We able to enjoy the beach, sleep in, cook food in the communal kitchens, take the bus to the waterfalls and play at surfing. The grocery store and ATM are very close, making the logistics of cooking very easy. I loved meeting people from all over the world. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

The Cafecito Surfhouse was a true “pura vida” experience! From the moment I arrived, Chelsie y Lenin welcomed me with the warm hospitality making me feel at home. The location is perfect, just steps away from snta Tere beach, where you can enjoy magical sunsets and the relaxing sound of the ocean. The vibe is calm and authentic, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying the “pura vida” lifestyle. Everything was very clean, and their sweet cat added an extra touch of charm

I stayed in the female dorm and it was amazing! I’ve been traveling for over a year while staying at hostels and this is by far the most comfortable dorm I’ve stayed in! Giant beds with curtains and AC at night & also love the way it’s decorated inside! Kitchen right outside for the female dorm guests to use and adorable dogs! Also great hostel owner! Thanks so much, I’ll come back here next time I’m in Costa Rica :)
