A very friendly ho(s)tel with an amazing location. The room was comfortable and the view was gorgeous (mountain view), although this is true for most of Mindo really. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits, eggs, pancake, juice and coffee/tea! You can enjoy your breakfast with the buzz of many hummingbirds visiting the feeders, making it a wonderful experience. Besides the various hummingbirds, many other bird species also visit the feeders or the surrounding trees! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and helped us go on a night tour in the area. Do note, they only accept cash, and the closest bank is in Los Bancos.

Matteo was a great host, super knowledgable about the area - he’s studying anthropology and even lived for a while with one of the local tribes, which you can do a day trip to learn about! I really learned a lot chatting with him and I recommend you do the same. The location was also great - it’s a little bit outside of the town (8 minute walk) which means the bird life is much better. Sitting out on the terrace we saw so many hummingbirds and even a few tucans!

Lovely spot with hammocks outside, view of the nature, good kitchen and drinking water, hot water in the shower and comfortable clean room. The family who run the place were really friendly, helped us store our stuff and even use the bathroom after check out after our hiking. Highly recommend!

I like nice surprises the ad for this location depicts more rustic accomodations. The establishment has added a new wing with really nicely finished rooms. Anyone booking here won't be disappointed. The upgrade charge is is really worth the fee
