Ithaka hostel is an amazing place to stay in Alexandria. The people are awesome, the rooms and the space super clean and the atmosphere so warm and inspiring. The location is amazing too. It is a new hostel，the receptions are so welcoming there.When I arrived Alexandria，it is hard for me to find a way to get there so I contacted them，they guided me and let me know the transportation in Alexandria and after that I knew the cheap route to visit the city.I woke up enjoying a delicious local breakfast.During daytime Charlie led us to a local market and we bought food there.In the evening，we prepared Chinese hot pot there，it was a really a multiple culture experience…What is more，the area nearby had many many relaxing places like beach and good cafe..My bed was cozy and it was really quiet in the hostel！

if you get a slightly upgraded room they’re pretty clean and great value for money. Good for overnight emergency/travel stays when you need to be downtown. staff are friendly. entrance is more scary than the hotel actually is-I only found out about it through a local I met otherwise I would’ve never tried. make sure to go to 7th floor when you reach the building bc that’s not obvious. At the low price don’t expect 4-5 star service…it’s a fresh bed and a toilet and smoker-friendly and not a hostel that you have to share.
