The staff member (Natalia) was very diligent. I arrived late hours and didn't have a towel prepared as agreed before my arrival (lil mistake, no problem) reached out to her throughout the hostel WhatsApp around 23:30 and immediately she responded and sorted it out right away (thanks! big time). The hostel is very clean and the rooms are big enough to feel comfortable.

Room and common area are spacious with too many travelers. Staff work at reception is very friendly and helpful! It’s clean and calm. Location is not in the city center but it doesn’t matter, you can reach there by bus. Its location brings quietness. One of the best hostel I’ve had ever!

This place is perfect for a pilgrim on the way to Santiago. The facilities are very clean and updated, both hostesses Susana and her cat Bimba are extremelly welcoming. I could use the washing machine for free including the detergent. Affordable breakfast with pastries, coffee and packed juice.

Centrally located in Castro Urdiales, La Mar is on a quiet pedestrian street, 1 km from the beach. It offers free Wi-Fi and heated rooms with flat-screen TVs.
