I absolutely loved my stay. Michelle is the caretaker and she was just incredible - so nurturing and caring. This place doesn’t feel like a hostel, it’s cosy, homely and so relaxed and friendly… plus you’re surrounded by such beauty just outside the door. It’s a really special place.

Gary, the owner was absolutely lovely and helpful in getting me checked in even though I arrived when it was dark. The community in the area was also very friendly, and I could talk to everyone in the pub - which is something I really appreciated as a solo traveller. Rooms are clean, shower and heating facilities works really fine too (so thankful for hot showers in November). Kitchen also had many appliances for use - oven, microwaves, stoves with pots and pans. A few condiments like salt and pepper came in really handy too. Beautiful town to go for a short run in as well!
