The place is very clean, and located in a convenient area with lots of food choices nearby - we were diving, and the dive shop was less than 5 minutes away, and Puu Pau is also very close to the harbor. We also loved the smoothies there - very yummy - after our dives. The staff is friendly and helpful, they recommended some really good restaurants! They also informed us about the prayers and provided us with some earplugs.

Location of this place is excellent, about 3 minutes walk up some stairs between buildings from the main street (that's the "shortcut", Google maps will tell you to go around, just ask at any travel agency if not sure). Kitchen was basic, but sufficient to make tea/coffee and some food if you want to cook, there is a fridge. As mentioned in other posts, toilet stalls have curtains instead of doors - I didn't find this problematic. The dorm room has an entrance straight onto the alley, weird first, but you get used to it, it's the way a local house is set up in these parts. The dorm room has good A/C and is dark enough to sleep with curtains closed. There is a terrace on the upper floor to sit on, the view is a bit obstructed by a new construction next door, but still nice breeze when hot and a sea in the distance. I was told they plan on building another terrace/hang out space in a house just across the alley. Overall the whole place has a nice relaxed vibe, you feel you are living like a local, I loved staying there. Wanted to extend, but they were full and I had to move to another place 20min walk away :(

The place is very quiet. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Feeling like at home. Stay and breakfast values for money. Not far from the city but need transportation. So we extended one night.

We stayed here for one night after the Komodo tour to just unwind and chill. The bed was so comfortable and was so nice to have a TV to watch Netflix! Bathroom was clean and shower was nice

I stayed 2 nights at Cempaka hostel and it was a really good stay for me. In the center of town, close to every commodity. Plus, everyone is really friendly and gives really good advice ! Thank you very much, I'll stay there again next time I come to Labuan Bajo 👌
