It had a nice feel to it. On a quiet street and a short walk from the train station. Everything is newly finished by the owner himself, who is interested in sustainability and local community. The bed was comfortable and the sleeping pod was spacious and well designed. The pods give yiu privacy even if you’re staying with others in the shared room. I had an enjoyable night and this was a good value for money. Beyond that, Takumi (owner) was super friendly and accommodating. His property is a DIY place that he’s built out and is a fun place for building a community. There is a central area to sit and eat, which is a nice way to meet other travelers. If you’re traveling through and want to meet locals and others, I think this would be a great little hub.

Out of our 11 day holiday to Japan (staying at 5 properties) this was my ultimate favourite. I was so sad to leave it and would live to re-visit in the future.

Lovely location with a terrace on top with the view of the Odawara castle. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful, they even let me keep my suitcase there for one more day after the end of my booking. The capsule is cute and comfortable. The building is only 10 minutes by walk from the main station, so that's also a big plus!

The hostel was very clean and provided us with all the necessary facilities. The front desk was extremely friendly and answered all our questions with a smile and we also had a nice chat as well! The location is super convenient as its a 10-15min walk from the train station, generally you could reach many beautiful locations within 15-20min. Finally, Odawara was surprisingly more beautiful than expected. We were blown away!

Perfect location at the Harbour and seaside of Atami, including the beach. Wonderful all day, especially early in the morning and at sunset. Great restaurants and Atami Ginza as well as an amusement area close to the river all within a few minutes walking. The Japanese style room was minimalist but very nice and generous. The host was really charming and I would have stayed two weeks longer there but had to return to Germany.

Lovely stay in a lovely location, just minutes away from transport, about ten steps to a local mart, not far from a clothes washing facility and most importantly for us it was close to the water and a lovely park. The facilities are clean, the traditional beds comfy, and having a small grill for rotating and cooking was an added bonus. The hosts were so lovely and made the stay one of our most favourite ones from our time in Japan.

An ideal spot for solo female travellers en route to Tokyo. Highly recommend Atami as a place to stay for two nights. The staff at this hostel were all very friendly. Everything is very clean and feels spacious because it's so tidy. It's not too far from the beach and the station. Bed is comfortable, there's places to sit and eat and there are female-only showers and toilets.
